|  Journey IX  hit the Muaythai super highway this past Saturday March 2nd, 2013 at the Century Casino in Calgary, Canada. IFMA World Champion, Canadian Ashley Nichols (MAS, Cambridge), who is qualified for a spot at the SportAccord World Combat Games this year, defeated Melissa Reaume (Team Smandych, Calgary) by unanimous decision. 
           In the decision for the WMC North American Title, Shane Campbell (Iron Tiger, Edmonton) defeated Sean McKinnon (Team Smandych, Calgary) by Unanimous decision. A big thanks to all the fighters, coaches, sponsors, fans and volunteers for helping to make the night a success.  The card was full of exciting fights for the soldout crowd at the Century Casino. So far, the organizers were able to raise $7,000 towards the End Women’s Cancers goal.
