Every New Year brings with  it: resolutions to be healthier, new beginnings and a chance to kick bad habits  to the curb. With this in mind, M-Net Action and Gathered Moss Productions is  hailing in the New year by giving 16 out of shape guys the opportunity to shape  up through the ancient martial art of Muaythai in 2010!
            
            
            Way of the Warrior, a 13 part  reality series promising exciting adventures for males between the ages of 25 –  35, will transform and whip contestants into battle-ready warriors. The show  will launch on 15 February, 2010 at 18h00 on M-Net Action (channel 106 on  DStv.)
            
            
Presented by Colin Moss, the show will take you on a journey alongside these  brave contestants who will be taught one of the oldest forms of martial arts,  originating in Thailand.  Way of the Warrior will be tough, pushing contestants to their physical and  mental breaking points. They have to stay the course, using all their  determination, will power and tenacity to impress their teachers, survive  elimination each week and survive the competition as they fight for the honor  to be named the “Ultimate Warrior”. 
“Way of the Warrior willbe a challenge to contestants but it will  be incredibly rewarding for them in the end. They will not only become great  fighters but they will transform their bodies and minds in the process. They  will become warriors!” said Moss
Contestants will be assessed by a panel of judges as they advance in each stage  of the competition. 
“M-Net Action is excited to be to be in partnership with Gathered Moss  Productions in what we hope will become a signature show for the channel. We  are always on the lookout for shows that will live true to the brand and offer  an adrenalin rush for loyal viewers”, said Channel Manager Khosi Khanyile.
 
The show will see 10 to 20 guys selected from Cape Town,  Durban, Johannesburg  and Port Elizabeth  based on their video entries. These hopefuls will be interviewed by Sifu  Quentin “The Dragon” Chong, a long time member of the WMC & IFMA, his trainers, a healthcare professional, a  psychologist and the producers. They will then be put through their paces and  depending on how they fare, 4 contestants from each city will then be chosen to  start training at the Dragon Power Gym. 
 
In the end, 10 finalists will compete according to their points seeding and the  show will finish in a spectacular event fight night.
