SportAccord and the City of Beijing organised a world cultural martial arts forum at the beautiful ballroom of the Intercontinental Hotel in Beijing.

IFMA was given the greatest honour of being one of the main speakers, and IFMA General Secretary Stephan Fox spoke for over 30 minutes on the 'Social Values and Social Contribution of Martial Arts and Combat Disciplines, particularly in Crime Prevention'.

The speech was well received and praised by representatives of the martial art world, SportAccord, IOC and press. Mr Fox presented an entertaining and heartfelt account, combining seriousness and humour, of his own martial arts journey, which certainly everyone could relate to.
