IFMA prides itself on the foundation of honour, tradition, culture, fair play, excellence, and most importantly friendship.   The SportAccord Combat Games 2010 was a festival of cultural understanding and celebration of martial art. At the end there can be only 11 winners in muaythai, but all athletes were winners already by taking part in this historical event.

The IFMA awards night in Beijing celebrated this, and saw the awards were given to:   Best Female Wai-Kru - Fatima Pinto (Norway)
Best Male Wai-Kru - Patipan (Thailand) and Chris White (Australia), who made it into the New York Times with his Wai-Kru performance.

Best Female Boxer - Eva Fernandez (Spain)
Best Male Boxer - Artem Levin (Russia)   The award for Outstanding Sportsmanship went to Team China who were one of the outstanding teams of the SportAccord Combat Games.

As the curtain went down on a once-in-a-lifetime event for many, everyone thanked SportAccord and is looking forward to the next World Combat Games.   It is now less than 3 months to the IFMA World Championships, where all friends will come back together again. Thank you Beijing!!     Source: http://www.ifmamuaythai.org/html/10_0709_SAgoodbye.php
